Vector Network Analyzer Uncertainty

No matter whether you are an experienced or novice user of vector automatic network analyzers, there's every chance that you sometimes struggle to answer the question "How accurate are these measurements?". The simplistic answer, of course, is to refer to the manufacturer's specifications. But here's the point, these are complex instrument systems made up of several component parts and with a multitude of frequency, connector-type and error correction options. Making sense of it all could easily take you far longer than making the measurements!

The good news is that Agilent has responded to this "Frequently Asked Question" by producing a new and improved, freely available add-in for Excel 97®.
