Two of Agilent's "local calibration centers" (LCC) in the USA have just been recognized by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). Until now the only Agilent facilities in the USA that were able to provide a calibration service that has been independently authenticated by an internationally-recognized body were its major sites in California and Colorado. The new capability is available from smaller operations based in Richardson, Texas and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Despite being physically smaller, the accredited capability of the new centers is extensive which enables a wide range of equipment to be calibrated locally. Notably, the Richardson LCC includes a digital modulation capability which is believed to be the world's first such accreditation for this type of measurement.

They join a global network of Agilent facilities that have been accredited by members of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation.
